Post Application Steps

Confirmation Email

After you have submitted your application and uploaded your documents, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your application. The email will contain a link that you can use to check the status of your application as it moves along the various stages.

Additional Documentation Required

You may receive an email requesting further or amended documentation to be added to your application. The email will contain specific information about what is needed and by what date. Please submit the requested documents (in .doc, .docx or .pdf) by attaching them to a return email.

Interview Request

You may receive an email requesting an interview with you; offering you a choice of interview dates and times. Please confirm your willingness to attend an interview, for at least two dates/ times, by return email.

Interview Confirmation Notice

After you have responded to the interview request email, you will receive an email confirming the date, time and location of your interview. Please read all of the details included in the Interview Confirmation email as this will ensure that you arrive at the correct day, time and location. If for any reason you are unable to attend a pre-scheduled interview, please contact the office.

Notification

Applicants who are selected to be added to the panel will receive a conditional acceptance email listing the additional information, documents and steps required to be formally added to the panel.

Vulnerable Sector Screen Check

All individuals who wish to do work for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer are required to undergo a mandatory Vulnerable Sector Screen. If you are selected to be added to the Panel, you will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Screen through your local police service and will be responsible for paying the fees associated with the screening process. Full instructions on obtaining and completing the mandatory Vulnerable Sector Screen will be included with the conditional acceptance email.

Applicants who are not selected for an interview or for the panel will be notified.
